A Wonderful Time of Transition – A Personal Message from Dr. Teri Jaklin ND, IFMCP

It is said that the only constant in life is change and that has certainly been the case at the clinic over the past few months. What change you may ask? Well, I am delighted to announce the transition of ownership of the Watertown Clinic to Laurie Rigg RN. Laurie is a registered nurse, working in the functional medicine model, whose dream it has always been to have an integrated health clinic…and so the story begins.

What is going to change at the clinic? Nothing as you know it today. Dr. Mary Peric, Meghan Crewson and I will continue our practices as we always have and the services of Electrodermal Sensitivity Testing and Live Blood Analysis will also continue uninterrupted. AND the clinic will evolve – starting with our new associate Cavan Edwards, a Board Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner and Meditation Instructor. Laurie’s own expertise is in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and she works with Functional MD, Dr. Andrew Kiellerman, who is also now working from the clinic.

Under Laurie’s leadership and vision the service offering will continue to grow in a strategic manner with an offering that is truly first of it’s kind in the Waterdown area. The details are currently being finalized on two very exciting therapeutic additions to a truly integrated model of care. Stay Tuned for more info!

On a personal note, the clinic has been a passion of mine since I started it in 2002. During that time I have watched Waterdown grow from a community of 3,500 to one approaching 20,000. I began to consider the option of selling to relieve myself of the day to day management after my knee surgery three years ago. As many of you know, while the surgery was a success, I need to spend more time in active rehab to really get where I want to be. I had no idea how difficult a decision it would be! Transitioning the ownership to Laurie allows me to firmly focus more directly on my own health as well as those who are under my care. I am very excited about this new chapter and am very grateful to be a part of the Waterdown Clinic of Functional and Integrative Medicine moving forward.

Both Laurie and I feel that this experience has been full of serendipity and is a truly wonderful thing for all of us. Personally, I think Laurie is an angel and I am sure you will too when you meet her. I think it is important to note that neither of us could have done this without the exceptional skill and professionalism of our Office Manager, Amy Gatschner, who will continue to lead us into the new era!

Laurie Rigg, RN

The logo has been updated, the phone, fax, email and website are the same and our care and commitment to you is the same. If you have any questions please talk to me or Laurie or Amy.

In closing I have a two-fold thank you. First, thank you for your support that allowed me to build and grow the clinic year over year for 16 years. Second, thank you for your continued support into the future as we experience Laurie’s exciting vision for “the healthiest patients” together.

With Love,
