After an ongoing struggle with various symptoms due to stress, poor digestion and hormonal imbalances, Mary was thrilled to discover naturopathic medicine and utilize its therapies to treat the root cause of her symptoms. By personally experiencing the benefits that simple yet powerful changes can make to one’s health, Mary gained a renewed appreciation for the healing capacity of the human body, when it is properly supported with all the necessary tools.

As a naturopathic doctor and a lactation educator, Mary focuses her practice on understanding each patient’s unique health story, identifying potential patterns of imbalance and root cause(s) of disease and developing a customized treatment plan to achieve their individual health goals. She began working with a wider range of patient populations in various healthcare settings as an Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy assistant helping patients reach their rehabilitative goals. She has a passion for helping others regain their functional mobility and engage in their lives on new and deeper levels which lead her to the classical osteopathic approach to healing, a more holistic approach that considers the whole person and not only an isolated area of the body that has been injured. She understands the body is a dynamic unit of function and as such reintegration using a whole body approach optimizes the inherent healing capacity of the body.

Carah is guided by the classical teachings of Dr. AT Still and the principles of osteopathy that translate to everyday life. She uses a gentle principles based-approach to enable the body to self-heal and self-regulate so that her patients can live their lives better.

Nancy Britton - Waterdown Clinic

NANCY BRITTON

EDS Technician, Sensitivity Testing

Food and environmental sensitivities can have a dramatic impact on overall health. Identifying and eliminating them can be a powerful step on your healing path. EDS is painless, non-invasive, and accurate. EDS measures both histamine and non-histamine responses to substances which many tests are not able to do. Non-histamine responses are particularly important and are directly related to symptoms such as bloating, fatigue and headaches.

Nancy Britton brings many years of experience as an advanced EDS technician to the Waterdown Clinic where she has helped to customized this testing to detect food sensitivities, the presence of candida, parasites, bacteria and viruses, exposure to heavy metals, imbalance of hormones, environmental exposures and organ stress or weakness.

Chantal Mulhern - Waterdown Clinic

CHANTAL MULHERN

I began experiencing challenges with my health several years ago which led to my passion for “clean eating” and my love for natural medicine. Through this experience, I realized that in order to reach optimal health and wellness our mind, body and spirit must be in balance. When my own health improved, I knew I had something to share and wanted to help others feel more like themselves, just as I had done.

I hold a designation as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and I am also a certified Live Blood Analyst (darkfield microscopy) with Microcell Sciences Inc.

Holistic Nutrition is an approach to health and wellness through the use of natural healing capabilities of food. Holistic Nutrition looks at the “whole” person by assessing their complete health history, dietary habits, lifestyle, detoxification needs as well as physical and emotional aspects. Connecting all these pieces can assist in determining the root cause of imbalance and therefore lead to a healthy program that would work best for the patient. The services I offer through Holistic Nutrition are to examine the foods that should be eliminated along with foods that are beneficial to your specific case. Menu plans are provided along with recipes, cookbooks and shopping lists.

Live Blood analysis is the examination of living blood under an extremely high-powered microscope. The cells are then examined to identify the current state of health. Together, we examine the state of your red blood cells, white blood cells and plasma and immediate results are provided. This measurable tool allows me to put the proper plan together for you along with nutritional coaching to maximize your overall health.
